WARRANTY AND REPAIRS

Bert Jewellery will repair any manufacturing fault at no cost within 6 months of the purchase date. Manufacturing faults do not include:

  • General wear and tear

  • Damage from negligence and improper care

  • Work undertaken by other jewellers, including re-sizing

  • Broken chains

  • Broken/bent claws or prongs

  • Misshapen rings

  • Chipped, cracked or broken gemstones

  • Plating that has worn off

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

BESPOKE ORDERS & TIMELINES

Bespoke orders typically take 4–6 weeks from receipt of deposit to completion. Sourcing unusual stones or complex designs may take longer. We'll always give you an estimated timeframe when you confirm your order, and keep you updated along the way.

PAYMENT TERMS

For bespoke orders we require a 40% deposit to confirm your order; we cannot start work until this has been received. The balance is payable in full before shipping. Payment can be made by bank transfer or credit card (merchant fees apply). Goods remain the property of Bert Jewellery Pty Ltd until paid for in full.

CANCELLATIONS

Once work on a bespoke order has begun, the deposit is non-refundable, as it covers materials purchased and work undertaken for your individual design. If you need to cancel before work has started, please contact us as soon as possible and we will refund your deposit in full.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Because bespoke pieces are made individually to your specifications, we cannot offer returns or refunds for change of mind on bespoke orders. If there is a fault with your piece, we will repair, replace or refund it in accordance with our warranty and your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

RESIZING

We recommend that you have your finger sized professionally before you purchase a ring - either through us, or by a local jeweller in your area. We work with Australian/UK standard sizing but can help with conversions.

We offer one complimentary resize on engagement rings within 6 months of purchase. Further resizes are charged at standard rates. Please note some designs (such as full eternity bands) cannot be resized.

SHIPPING & INSURANCE

All orders are shipped fully insured, within Australia and worldwide. Your piece remains our responsibility until it is delivered to you. A signature is required on delivery. International customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes applicable in their country.

DISCLAIMER

All stones shown on our website are natural or lab diamonds and gemstones. We cannot guarantee that the colour you see matches the item colour, as the display of colour depends, in part, upon the type of computer monitor used to observe the image.

SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES

All diamonds and gemstones are conflict-free and ethically sourced. We work with established diamond and gemstone dealers who supply GIA-certified stones. Bert Jewellery uses environmentally responsible procedures to source all of its materials. Bert Jewellery's suppliers are all in compliance with the United Nations resolutions on ethically sourced and conflict-free precious stones and diamonds. Each piece of Bert Jewellery is designed and made in Sydney, Australia.
